I have worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors for over 30 years where I have gained experience within large pharma, not-for-profit and in particular, start-up environments. My career began in early drug discovery and subsequently developed into the commercial arena where I gained extensive business development experience across several major international markets: UK, Europe, USA and Japan.
In the course of my career I have established numerous successful revenue and IP generating collaborations, a large-scale public-private partnership between academia and industry and developed profitable contract research capabilities in the fields of genomics and drug discovery. In my current role as Managing Director of Ubiquigent Ltd, I lead a team of talented individuals who share my vision and drive to build a sustainable and profitable business, focused on enabling our partners’ drug discovery programmes in the area of protein degradation.
I gain great satisfaction working in early stage companies where a flexible and entrepreneurial approach is needed to address the challenges encountered when developing a new business.
